Play ~ Create ~ Connect
In this workshop we will be making a dear knitted stuffed rabbit, just in time to hop into your little one's Easter basket or join them for spring time play! We will use all natural materials - wool yarn, and pure wool stuffing.
If you don't know how to knit, don't worry I will teach you! We will complete the project over the course of two sessions. All materials will be provided.
Knitting is a wonderful skill to learn and this project is so simple it will be great for beginners. The effort and determination you make to complete a knitting project is a wonderful skill to model for you child. They will delight as they see this new little friend taking shape in your hands.
Your child will love to make littles scenes for the rabbit, and you can join in. Lay a green cloth on the floors as grass. You can build burrows and hills for the little rabbit to hop over and climb. Feed them pretend carrots and give them drinks out of little shell dishes. This floor play provides you with the opportunity to interact peacefully with your child, with the potential to model simple conversation such as 'good morning little rabbit, and how are you today?' Soon you will be able to enjoy watching her repeat this play quietly by herself, slowly extending it to include other toys.
This workshop will be hosted upstairs from My Village in Paige's Living Room. My Village will be open for play during the workshop so your little ones can be close at hand playing with daddy or another caregiver while you participate in the workshop.
