Ever wonder what your baby is thinking? Are you frustrated trying to figure out what it is they are trying to tell you? Did you know your baby is capable of using gestures and signs to communicate before they can talk?
Your baby has lots to tell you! In this interactive and fun-filled workshop, you will learn over 100 signs, based on American Sign Language (ASL), that you can immediately start implementing in your child’s daily routines. Enhance their communication, decrease frustration, increase confidence and self-esteem, and deepen the bond between you and your child through this dynamic way of communicating.
This workshop will be lead by Ana Ayala, MA-CCC-SLP, a mother of two, and a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with a degree in Communication Disorders from Northwestern University.
From Ana: "Although I have always been passionate about working with young children with communication deficits, it wasn’t until I saw my daughter at 15 months of age be able to communicate using over 45 signs, that I witnessed the value and magic of giving her the gift of having a voice beyond words. Come join me in this exciting adventure and walk away feeling inspired to create more opportunities to foster a strong foundation for communication and connection with your child through the use of baby sign language."
Registration includes a single parent and your child. Co-parent may attend as well for an additional $20 . If you register during the first week (early bird registration) a co-parent may attend for free! Babies are welcomed to attend but are not necessary. The material presented in this workshop will be geared more towards parents. This workshop is appropriate for parents of children from birth to 2 years.
